Luke 18:1 - And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
What many believers are still missing is, they keep waiting until something bad happens to want to have a conversation with the Father. When a child and its parent(s) has a healthy relationship, there is always communication and it won't be so difficult to talk when a problem arises.
The Father has said in His word repeatedly about maintaining our relationship with by way of prayer and reading and obeying the instructions of His Word.
"We" pray and expect Him to answer ASAP, and beloved that's not a healthy prayer life or relationship with the Father. Your average parent don't always respond immediately to their child's request. And so it is with the Father.
It is my sincerest desire that we stop with these "emergency prayers". Furthermore, we are not limited to praying only in the temple/church/mosque/synagogue but wherever we may be at any time we desire. Remember, prayer is communication with the Father. How many times have you called someone to talk about "nothing"? It's no different with the Father. Do you realize how much a parent loves to hear the voice of their child(ren), even if what they're talking about doesn't make sense? This is what distinguishes religion from spirituality. Religion says, you have to do it but spirituality says, I want to do it.
How do one expect to have a successful relationship with anyone if they only talk when they're in need? No one truly wants to be part of that type of relationship. So let us not do that to the Father. He loves us with an everlasting love and desires to be intimate with His children any time.
May you grow your relationship and life of prayer in these times of uncertainty.
Let us move from stagnate desperate prayers to meaningful prayers.
