No Escape from the Presence of God

#Psalms 139 - God is #Omnipresent (everywhere at the same time) and #Omniscient (all knowing and all-seeing)

As mankind continues to experience unprecedented events of catastrophe, devastation, tragedy and loss one after another, the cries of death filling the atmosphere and it appears as if there's no answer for all those who asks, Why and where is God?

Let us search the Word of God and see what it has to say.

First, I will start with #Genesis 1:28 when God created man and gave him his first charge. Adam and Eve only had one responsibility all-inclusive...be fruitful and multiply; fill (spatial- be full of) the earth and subdue it; have dominion (rule, reign, prevail against) over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

Although God passed on the reigns or control of the earth to #Adam and #Eve, does not mean He just left them to their own devices. Let us recall that before Eve was created, God gave Adam specific instructions of his newly appointed responsibilities. It would have been unwise for God to just "put the children in the backyard with no instructions or guidelines", but a wise parent always instruct the child, "don't go out the yard" or some other instruction. We should also consider Adam and Eve were educated being they were made directly from and in the likeness/image of God, which means mentally, emotionally, verbally, and spiritually. They had no lack of anything. Because Eve failed to follow the specific instructions of God, it opened the door for sin, which has attached to it wickedness, evil, and all forms of unclean spirits.

Understanding the history of mankind's journey, we did not just arrive at the state we are currently in but there was a steady decline of man's desire to live according to God's guidelines aka His Word, thus further ushering in even more rebellion, rejection of those instructions, and a depreciation of man's ability to fulfill his God-given ordained purpose. However, even in all this God's promise in #Joshua 1:8...I will not leave nor forsake you...was not only to the children of Israel but we, too, now have a right to that very promise. Truthfully because God is Omnipresent, as David describes in Psalms 139:7-10 that no matter where he goes, he cannot escape the presence of God. So in all of this, yes, we are in His presence and because He is Omniscient, there is nothing that happens without Him knowing.

So in all that we are going through, the Father is there with us just like a parent though they may not be visibly or physically present; that child knows they have a parent to call out to. So many don't want the relationship that comes with receiving His benefits. Because of the lack of having a relationship, it is easy to ask why these things are happening and where is God. This is not only applicable to the non-believer but the believer alike.

We are experiencing all of these things now more than ever, is because of the wicked and evil state of mankind. Why don't God step in and stop it? Because once a parent ...trains up a child in the way they are to go..., the parent must trust the fact that what they taught the child was sufficient and cannot interfere every time the child gets into trouble or doesn't do something right. So it is with God, He has full confidence in the instructions given to Adam and Eve were sufficient and us too.

For further consideration, #scripture tells us in #Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our #God, for he will abundantly pardon. Again, many are not seeking to have a relationship with the #Father but only desire His benefits. Know that He is not punishing us but it is by our own actions these events are taking place. He is not deaf to our cries but His grace is sufficient and strength made perfect in weakness, 2 #Corinthians 12:9. Let us all remember we will suffer for the sake of #righteous and unrighteousness. Scripture does not tell us fully in which manner our sufferings will come or through whom.

Beloved don't lose heart but hold on to your #faith.

May we all seek the #Lord while He may be found and not only call upon Him in our time of trouble but develop a #relationship with Him as we do with others.

Be blessed
