2 Corinthians 12:9 New King James Version (NKJV)- And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
As we deal with challenges, spiritually and of life, we have the strength to make it through anything because of God's grace. It is never in our own strength or by our boot straps, but His grace is powerful enough to strengthen us in our weakest state. I believe we all have a "thorn" in our flesh. This is the result of not only being chosen but accepting the call.
Many of us have prayed to the Father asking to take that "thing/thorn" away but yet it still remains. Perhaps it's your "thorn" in the flesh. It is not meant to destroy us but rather causes us to push through even the most difficult circumstances that we feel we're unable to get through, but yet you're still here.
This "grace" we have received has been assigned to us purposely. What has the Father's grace gotten you through? Each time you felt you couldn't make it through but yet here you are at another "I can't make it through" moment. Why? Because of His grace/strength.
Follow Paul the Apostles example and make your confession "Therefore, most gladly I would rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Think about what he is saying.
There's greater glory and power in our infirmities, our tryings, our testings, our tribulations, our going-throughs.
His grace IS sufficient for you and me.
